Interior Designers team up to help when the bubble hits your neighborhood.
The sizzling red-hot real estate market in the U.S. has changed the way we look at homes for sale.

/24-7PressRelease/ - SELMA, CA, September 28, 2005 - Previously owned homes are vying for our attention and getting it. Why? Because the resale homes are looking as good as model homes and the charm and mature landscape of resale homes has jumped into the limelight in the last decade because of it.

In the past, resale homes typically needed a lot of work. You had to look past the orange carpet and the olive green appliances and attempt to use ones own imagination. Now, with the need to compete with new home construction, residential home sellers have caught on to "homestaging" to give them the competitive edge.

Now, more than ever, the competition has tightened with the fear of the bubble bursting just around the corner. Home Stagers are in high demand but are few and far between. In order to insure ones home sells fast and for maximum dollars, home sellers are attempting to stage their homes themselves.

Home sellers are looking for help on the Internet and not finding it. There are, however, several opportunities to learn the techniques and skills to stage homes as a career. The need for a tutorial for home sellers immediate needs became apparent to Sheron Cardin and Terry Holliday. They have just launched a web site with specific step-by-step homestaging instructions the home seller can implement immediately without an ebook to read.

Sheron Cardin and Terry Holliday worked together decorating new residential homes, commercial sites, model homes, and resale homes from 1981 to 1986 and have reunited after 19 years to offer their experience to the resale market.

Home Remodelling vs. Home Staging

From The Journal Record
Remember Me offers potential home buyers lasting impression

THE JOURNAL RECORD

OKLAHOMA CITY – The weather outside may be frightful but thanks to Remember Me, a professional home staging and remix company, the fire is so delightful.

Sisters and Oklahoma City natives Barbara Hague and Diana Hare in August launched their part-time business of decorating empty for-sale houses with accessories to speed the buying process. Since their launch, they have staged approximately 12 for-sale houses, and all sold within three months.

"We want you to walk into a house and go 'wow,' " said Hague. "It helps the buyers see the potential and see the positives of every room."

One of their first success stories came from the Lakeridge IV addition in south Oklahoma City. A four-bedroom, 2,480 square foot traditional house had been on the market for 120 days. It was listed at $239,900 and wasn't budging.

"The owner had left behind small items to stage her own house but the furniture was awkward and the house did not smell fresh," said Aimee Crossland, broker and owner of Crossland Real Estate who had shown the house before her company was hired to sell it.

Remember Me came in and added its personal touch. The house sold in 38 days.

"It was one of the most dramatic stagings I had seen," Crossland said. "The buyers paid full price and the appraisers appraised it for more than Crossland had listed it."
